At 317 N Callow Ave in Bremerton Washington, you will find a funny little establishment called Bremerton Cinema.  I admit when I first walked up on the place I thought it must be one of those old time underground movie theaters that doubled as a bomb shelter and the only thing above ground was the ticket office and the snack bar.  When I walked through the door I was momentarily confused to see only a gentleman in an office behind a sliding window checking ids and a long blank hall, until I looked behind his head and realized that the office was plastered with advertisements for gay porn flicks.  At the time I left and laughed explaining I'd been looking for an actual movie theater but did intend to come back.

I've since been back several times.

One of the aggravating things as a gay man at an adult video arcade is that they are almost always run by straight people (at least at some level) and the video selection is catered to straight men.  There's usually only one or two channels with gay films on and they are usually really really awful since they've usually been selected by someone who does not like gay porn, so they have no taste for it and likely didn't even watch the entire film, if any of it, even if they did know what made a good film.  Not so at Bremerton Cinema.

When you skim through the video selection at Bremerton Cinema, you can tell that this establishment is run (and as far as I can tell owned) by gay men, and ones with good taste in gay porn.  The gay porn makes up a large portion of the porn channels, and they aren't hidden at the very end of the dial.  It was very amusing to realize that gay, bi, and pre-op trans women porn were the majority real estate holders and that there were only a few cut and dry heterosexual channels.  Though it does make sense to me.  I was told that the gentleman who selects the porn they show watches each of the gay porn films from start to finish himself before he will put it in their rotation. He's happy to tell you about what he thinks of them.  There are however a few open secrets which you can not talk about at the Bremerton Cinema.
